Ushi (Ուշի) is a village in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. It’s situated approximately 27 kms (17 miles) northwest of Yerevan at an elevation of around 1,400 meters (4,600 ft). Has cold winters and mild summers. As of the 2022 census, it had a population of 1,725 residents. Local industry in Ushi focuses on small-scale processing tied to agricultural output, particularly dairy and fruit products. The village is renowned for its ancient heritage. It contains a 10th-century chapel, the ruins of Saint Sargis Monastery, and the grave of the aforementioned saint. On top of the hill adjacent to the monastery complex are the collapsed remains of an Iron Age Fortress.

FOA contributed to the reconstruction of a new kindergarten in Ushi. As a result of this project, the community will have a full kindergarten with four groups for 100 children. See project details and photos below.

Project #186: In 2025, the kindergarten in Ushi was fully reconstructed by the Armenian Territorial Development Fund (ATDF) for $636,000.  The community contribution of $18,312 was provided by FOA, sponsored by Torosian Family, In memory of their parents Sarkis and Silva Torosian.
