Shahmasur (Շահմասուր) village is located in the Martakert Region of the Artsakh Republic, on the left bank of the Khachen River. It is located in the center of the region, in a fairly isolated forested and mountainous area, on the southern slope of the Okhtnaghbyur mountain range. The population is 160; 25 of which are schoolchildren and 17 preschoolers. The main occupations of the residents are cattle breeding and gardening. The village has a community center, a clinic, a club, and a school.

FOA funded and completed a number of projects in the village of Shahmasour. See the project list and pictures below. THE TOTAL COST IS $12,620.

Project #83; Cost $2,620: In 2017, FOA replaced the Windows and Doors of the Community Center.

Project #72; Cost $10,000: In 2016, FOA renovated the Community Center and the Clinic.
