Vazkenashen (Վազգենաշեն) village is located in Martuni region of Artsakh Republic, near the border. The village is named after Vazgen Sargsyan, who was an Armenian military and political figure. He was the first Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. Then he in 1999 he was the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Currently, there are 65 houses and 330 inhabitants in the village, 65 of which are schoolchildren and 35 preschoolers. The villagers are mainly engaged in cattle breeding and agriculture. There is a community center, a clinic, a celebration building and a school in the village.

FOA funded and completed many projects in the village of Vazkenashen in many phases. See the project list and pictures below. THE TOTAL COST IS $11,115.

Project #102; Cost $5,600: In 2017, FOA renovated the Administration Building and the Medical.      

Project #74; Cost $5,515: In 2016, FOA renovated the Community Center by replacing the Roof, Water and Toilette work to the center.
